Yeah, I think it is too small. At 200 lbs you are almost to its capacity. Better to look for something a little larger that will provide a bit more room and stability. Even a 10 foot Pungo would be more stable and roomy. If you want to fish out of your boat, I really like sit on tops best. If you just want to paddle, go with something a little longer that will give you speed and better tracking.
If you've got kids or a wife who can enjoy the Otter, then go for it, and see how it works for you, too. But if the boat is just for you, I'd pass.

Loved your XT article. I found a XT on craigslist used once for $200 with paddle... thinking of buying.

Problem is, I'm 5'10, 200 pounds, is the boat too small for me?
